"Just in case" the new 1 cent county-wide sales tax hadn't pass in November, Pinki and I were working to arrange a $2m medical facility for Carrabelle in alliance with a Tallahassee hospital.
But it DID pass, by 2 to 1! And now adds a projected $1.5m annually for a new medical clinic in Carrabelle, enhanced ambulance services, and expansion of Weems Memorial in Apalachicola.
This will put the new clinic within minutes of SeaSide Village.
As a 'boomer' planning to live at SeaSide Village, it's an important consideration to be close to "paddles", to be sure! And now I will!
